When to Call the Doctor

The Spina Bifida Association (SBA) and Codman, a Johnson & Johnson Company, have partnered to develop the When to Call the Doctor card, a 3x5, two-sided laminated card outlining signs of hydrocephalus shunt malfunction in infants, toddlers, children and adults.

Managing hydrocephalus is a significant concern of people living with Spina Bifida. Patients and their loved ones are anxious to identify the symptoms of life-threatening shunt malfunctions and complications and to address them swiftly. SBA and Codman recognize the need to have life-saving information available to the Spina Bifida Community.
