The Power of 4 Can Earn you Cash and Prizes!
As a friend of the Spina Bifida Association (SBA), you know how important it is that we use multiple avenues to raise awareness about Spina Bifida and the need to take Folic Acid. In the past, you've helped us enormously by becoming educated and spreading the word. We appreciate all that you do.
Because of that past support and friendship, I'd like to invite you to participate in an event in which you are eligible to win cash and prizes by participating as a Team Captain in an awareness and fundraising campaign called 4b4the4th.
How does it work?
4b4the4th uses communication tools and social media like Facebook, Twitter, and personal/business email to spread the message about SBA. It's an easy 4 step process:
- Consider making a donation of $4.44, $14.44, $44.44 or $444.44 to support SBA.
- Ask 4, 14, 44 or 444 of your friends and family to each visit www.spinabifidaassociation.org to learn about Spina Bifida and donate $4.44, $14.44, $44.44 or $444.44 to help those with this birth defect.
- Ask those friends and family members to ask 4, 14, 44 or 444 of their friends and family to each visit www.spinabifidaassociation.org to learn about Spina Bifida and donate $4.44, $14.44, $44.44 or $444.44 to help those with this birth defect.
- Complete these tasks on or b4 the 4th of July (Get it? Four before the 4th!).
What are the prizes?

The Team Captain who raises the most funds will receive:
- A $250 cash price
- A $500 airline voucher
- Complimentary Hotel Room for three nights at the 2013 National Conference
- Two complimentary registrations for the 2013 National Conference

WHAT IS SPINA BIFIDA?
Spina Bifida is the most frequently occurring permanently disabling birth defect. It occurs when a baby's spine fails to close during the first month of pregnancy leaving an opening or lesion on the spinal column. Every day about eight babies born in the United States have Spina Bifida or a similar birth defect of the brain and spine.
