Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida

SBA Chapters around the country are gearing up for their annual Walk-N-Roll events which have gained momentum since the inception of the event last year. Some Chapters have already completed their events with overwhelming community participation. For the remainder of the year, more Chapters will join in and collectively bring together hundreds of individuals to walk for a good cause and enjoy great food and family fun in a festive atmosphere.

Walk-N-Roll embodies a sense of inclusiveness and invokes a sense of empowerment which the Spina Bifida Community embraces in all that it does. A belief in a better tomorrow is our vision, and the steps taken in these Walks represent steps on a path to realizing that dream.

Community participation
Each Chapter will gather members of its community to raise awareness about Spina Bifida, bringing individuals together to change lives , educate, and advocate for the Spina Bifida cause. Volunteers are critical to the success of each event. If you would like to participate and help the more than 166,000 Americans living with Spina Bifida or educate the 65 million women at risk of having a baby born with Spina Bifida, please contact Mary Nethercutt, SBA’s Walk Manager, at mnethercutt@sbaa.org or 800-621-3141 ext. 20 for more information.

The Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida brings out people from all walks of life as volunteers and participants. You can join a team or become an individual walker. Mary adds, "If you cannot be there on the day of the event, or if there is not a Walk scheduled for your Chapter, register as a Virtual Walker and enjoy online participation."
