Spina Bifida Association advocacy Teal on the Hill event

Take Action Now

The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) has proposed a new rule that poses a threat to the health, independence, and quality of life of people with Spina Bifida.

The rule will impose competitive bidding on urological supplies, including intermittent catheters. If the proposal is accepted, availability of these supplies will be determined solely by cost, and not the medically prescribed, individualized needs of the person managing neurogenic bladder.

SBA opposes this rule, and is working with lobbyists, policymakers, and manufacturers to prevent it from becoming CMS policy. Take action now and share your opposition to this proposal.
