Community Information Session: Sex and Sexuality in the Wheelchair User
7 PM ET / 6 PM CT / 5 PM MT / 4 PM PT
Sex and sexuality are important parts of life, and they matter for wheelchair users just as much as anyone else. Even though these topics often come up in therapy or medical visits, they’re rarely talked about when it comes to wheelchairs, seating, or assistive technology — even though sex is a normal activity of daily living. This session is designed to change that. Juli Harrison will talk openly and respectfully about the things adults with disabilities often wish someone would explain clearly. She will cover topics like gender identity, reproductive anatomy, and how these things connect to your comfort, safety, and sexual wellbeing in your wheelchair.
