Making Our Voices Heard During Hydrocephalus Awareness Month

There are over 1 million Americans living with hydrocephalus. Yet, the condition remains relatively unknown among the general public. That’s why this September, the Hydrocephalus Association is calling on everyone to help them raise awareness about hydrocephalus.

September is Hydrocephalus Awareness Month (HAM), when individuals and families across the country come together to educate the public about hydrocephalus, how it impacts children and adults, and the importance of finding a cure and more treatment options. You can help by participating in the #HAM2019 Social Media Challenge.

Here’s how to participate:

  • Visit hydroassoc.org/ham.
  • Download one of the graphics HA has developed featuring facts about hydrocephalus.
  • Snap a photo of yourself holding the sign using the hashtag #HAM2019.
  • Post it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Tag @HydroAssoc so we can like, share and retweet your post!
