Houston, TX – [June 6, 2024] – The Spina Bifida Association (SBA) proudly announces the launch of its newest chapter organization, the Spina Bifida Association of South Texas. Guided by the same mission as the national organization – “To build a better and brighter future for all those impacted by Spina Bifida” – this local chapter aims to be a supportive resource for the Spina Bifida community throughout the South Texas region.

Who’s leading the charge? A dedicated and diverse team of volunteers in South Texas who understand Spina Bifida, including individuals with Spina Bifida, healthcare professionals, care partners, and community leaders. Together, we’re committed to bringing localized programs, services, and events tailored to the unique needs of the local community.

An upcoming and highly anticipated chapter event is the Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida, scheduled for November 9, 2024, at James Driver Park in Houston, TX. This fundraiser and community event aim to bring together the Spina Bifida community and their families and friends to create a supportive environment while raising crucial funds to advance the chapter’s goals. We encourage interested individuals to register now.
