Every winter and spring, SBA heads to Capitol Hill to advocate on behalf of the Spina Bifida community. Nobody can advocate harder for you or your child outside of yourself. We strive to be the second-best voice to fight and serve you. You can make a true difference in our advocacy efforts from home. If we’ve met with one of your Members of Congress, email them using the email provided below. The people we meet with are legislative aids that represent the Members of Congress. Introduce yourself, let them know that you’re a friend of the Spina Bifida Association, who they’ve recently met with, and inform them that you are one of their constituents living with Spina Bifida. Tell them about your journey, what health issues or wins you’ve had, and that the funding for the National Spina Bifida Patient Registry at the CDC is shaping the future of healthcare, wellness, and treatment for all those impacted by Spina Bifida.
